We are lucky to have a trained Forest School Leader at our setting – Kate, and you will find us taking children outdoors and on adventures all year round. We have a special relationship with Felton Primary School who have given us permission to use their grounds for Forest School every day of the week. 

Wrapped up for all weathers, we work as a team to build dens, look for animal tracks, make nature art and explore the environment.  Even in winter they are by far the favourite days of the week for children and staff alike!

Kate also helps our other rooms to incorporate forest based activities into their daily practice at nursery, from leaf painting with our babies to planting flowers and herbs in our potting garden with the 2 year olds.
